General weather Overview
The country is much farther from the equator than Central Europe.
This means that winter days in Sweden are much darker, colder, and also shorter. The country is
subject to a cold polar climate. In the colder months and depending on the region, the monthly
average temperature drops to sub-zero. In winter you can still visit the cities, which are busy all
year round. But be prepared for the cold and the long nights.
