General weather Overview
The climate of the country is influenced by maritime sea air.
Summers can range from mild to scorching with minimal rainfall because of various exposures to
slopes and coats, but winters, with the exception of the northeast coast, are notably colder and
also more humid. Higher and colder mountain ranges dominate the inland, particularly in the
south and east. The temperature in coastal locations is often moderate. The climate in the interior
is continental, with cold, snowy winters and hot, dry summers, but the evenings are often chilly.
