Sri Lanka has a tropical climate, similar to all equatorial nations.
There isn’t much of a distinction between the seasons. The variation in daylight hours is minimal,
and the temperature fluctuations between summer and winter are likewise minimal. The typical
daily temperature ranges from hot to intense heat depending on the season. The temperature in
certain sections of the country has reached uncomfortable levels. The temperature drops to a
more mild and comfortable level throughout the colder months, depending on the location.

- Based on its history, Sri Lanka's cuisine is an interesting mixture of Indian, Dutch, Persian, Arab, British, and Portuguese influences. It is known as being among the spiciest food in the world, though also some of the healthiest and most aromatic
- In the southwestern lowlands of Sri Lanka is the Sinharaja Rainforest, one of the last of its kind in Asia. The animals that make this area their homes, such as monkeys and elephants, roam freely along with many other species. You will also find an incredible 170 species of orchids in the rainforest
- Sri Lanka's national flower is the Nile Mahanel, known to botanists as Nymphaea Stellata. It is recognized in English as the water lily

- Visit the ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya, where you can admire the magnificent remains of the palace and the mural paintings from the 5th century. Head to the holy city of Kandy to discover the famous Temple of the Tooth Relic, which houses a relic of Buddha's Tooth, and feel the mercy of the local people. Explore Dambulla Cave Temple, the largest and best-preserved cave temple in the country, housing 157 Buddhist statues. Each cultural site reflects a rich past
- Head to the coast! Sri Lanka is blessed with enchanting coastlines, most of which are found in the south, west, and north of the island. Unawatuna, Mirissa, Trincomalee, and Bentota are great places to see stunning beaches. It is worth mentioning that Bentota was once voted the "most beautiful beach in the world" by the European Tourist Board
- Take a trip through the many national parks! With an abundance of elephants, leopards, whales, and birds, Sri Lanka is one of the premier wildlife viewing destinations in Asia. If you like birds, reptiles, or amphibians, take a jungle walk in Sinharaja Forest Reserve, Sri Lanka's last primary rainforest, which is also an ideal spot for photography
- The most impressive trek in Sri Lanka is the climb to the top of Adams Peak or Sri Pada. This is one of Sri Lanka's most conspicuous natural monuments and one of its most famous places of pilgrimage
