General weather Overview
A tropical monsoon climate prevails in the Maldives. The gap between maximum and minimum degrees is negligible. The average daytime temperature varies from hot to scorching depending on the month. The average night temperature drops somewhat in the cooler months, although it remains high. Due to low precipitation and mild temperatures, the island is pleasant and sunny all year, yet there is a dry season and a little wet, rainy season.

- It is home to Rare Coral Beaches. The beaches here have mostly white sand that comes from coral. The incredible sand is extremely fine and white in color. Coral beaches are quite rare, accounting for only 5% of all beaches in the world. For this reason, the beaches of the Maldives are considered a paradise on earth.
- The Maldives is sinking. Due to its below-average altitude, rising sea levels, and increased land erosion, the Maldives is sinking into the ocean. A number of laws are applied to avoid this; but at current rates, the island will be completely submerged in just a few years
- The Maldives has some of the smallest islands in the world, measuring no more than a few square meters. The largest island barely reaches 6 km.
