Belgium has a temperate oceanic climate. As is common in the northern hemisphere, days are not
only warmer but also longer during the months of summer. Winters are damp and cool with
frequent fog, while summers tend to be mild. Unlike other European countries that fluctuate
between freezing cold and scorching heat, Belgium tends to transition from mild winters to only
slightly warmer summers.

- The Belgian coastal tram is considered the longest tram line in the world, being about 68 km long. It opened in the year 1885 and operates between De Panne and Knokke-Heist, which is from the French border to the Dutch border
