General weather Overview
Botswana has a tropical climate, similar to other equatorial nations.
Seasons don’t seem to differ too much from one another. Summer may be a wet season, with
cloud cover and rain which can significantly chill things down, albeit generally only for a short
time.
The winter season is likewise dry, with little to no precipitation. Winter days are always bright
and cool to warm; but, in some areas, particularly in the southwest, evening and night
temperatures can fall below freezing. The days are often colder in the summer, and the evenings
are warmer in the winter.
