The weather in the Turks & Caicos Islands is typically nice and steady throughout the year. In comparison to the US or Central Europe seasons aren’t as distinctas they are in other parts of the world. The Turks & Caicos Islands have among the lowest precipitation levels in the Caribbean. Summer heat may be oppressive, although winters are thought to be more bearable. Throughout the year, there is very little rain, and even a drizzle is rare.

- The flag of the Turks and Caicos Islands once represented an igloo! In a draft sent from the Turks and Caicos Islands, a cartographer from England mistook the salt mounds for the ice structure. With a little artistic license, he added small doors. The flag design was used for about 100 years
- Many places in the Turks and Caicos fortify natural sea salt. The local Taíno took advantage of this, trading harvested salt for honey, fruits, and vegetables with natives of Hispaniola even before the Europeans arrived
- The Turks and Caicos Islands have the third-largest barrier reef system in the world and some of the best dive sites in the world
