General weather Overview
The climate of Indonesia is tropical. There isn’t much of a
distinction between the seasons. Indonesia, which straddles the equator, has a tropical climate that
is rainy, hot, and humid throughout the year. Rainfall is localized in low-lying areas and hilly
regions, with lower temperatures in the highlands. The daylight hours vary slightly, and the
temperature changes between summer and winter are likewise minimal.

Fun facts

- The Borobudur Temple on the island of Java is the largest Buddhist monument in the world, adorned with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues
- The Komodo dragon is the world's largest species of lizard, and this ferocious, 10-foot-long, scaly creature exists on just five Indonesian islands: Padar, Gili Motang, Flores, Rinca, and, of course, Komodo. They hunt and kill animals much larger than themselves, including humans. Don't worry; they are protected as they can only be seen in the national parks of the Komodo Islands country. The dragon is named after the island
