- Venetian Italian as "Black Mountain" translates to Montenegro. The name refers to Mount Lovćen, which rises 1,749 m (5,738 ft) above sea level in southwestern Montenegro
- Montenegro has around 117 beaches along 294 kilometers of coastline, and Velika Plaža in Ulcinj holds the title of the largest beach in this part of the Adriatic.
